Republican Shrimp Peel/Work Weekend
We started out at Sandra’s dad’s house this morning - he made us beer-batter pancakes. We got on the road around noon and got back to Choteau around 1:45.
After setting up my desk, getting Sandra’s desk from the attic and pulling up the rug/carpet in the sun room, we went to the gas station, cleaned up and then changed into a little bit more “formal” attire (ok, it’s not like we were wearing tuxedos and evening gowns - I threw on a Oxford).
The Shrimp Peel was a good time. We sat with Jess and her friend. Jess is on the Teton County Republican Central Committee, and thankfully she introduced us to a few people.
We decided to stay in Choteau for the night - but it was a little rough because there is still no water at the house. We had to go to the convenience store/gas station to use the facilities.
Sunday morning we did some minor clean up, had lunch with Jess at John Henry’s and then hit the road back to Helena. There was a little snow as we left town, but it cleared up by the time we got past Augusta. We stopped in Wolf Creek for dinner with Sandra’s mom and then made our way home to Helena.
